My name is Tanya Dean, also known as “td.” I’m a wife to one amazing husband and a mom of 2 great kiddos/young adults! I also may have a “few” fur babies.

I was raised in the city and have lived in small towns for most of our married life. Can there be such a thing as a city/country girl? If so, sign me up! My love for the big cities, the small towns, and everything in between is representative of my love for all kinds of people; the tender and tough; the complicated and calculated; the carefree and the cautious; the wonderfully grounded and the willfully wondering! Meeting people is my favorite and the more diverse the better!! We are all colorful and rich with mystery and history. Delightfully different is how God made us and there is nothing more that I love!

I have taught women’s Bible study for years, speak at women’s events and run a nonprofit for single moms, but I believe my greatest call is being a mom and wife. I guard that time and do not apologize for keeping them first, underneath my walk with Christ. With that said, I love women’s ministry! I love getting to know people from all walks of life and all ages.

God’s truth is my passion and Jesus is the flame that keeps my heart ignited for His glory! My hope is that this will be a place where I can hear from you. I would love to get to know you and what’s happening in your life. Encouragement is my favorite and I believe we are in desperate need for more community and support; be that in our local towns and cities, all the way to the global community of blogging. It is such an exciting time we live in!

I’ve procrastinated for quite some time in writing. I have placed myself, my insecurities and my motives under an intense scrutiny for several (and I do mean several) years now! I don’t have anything, personally, to offer other than Jesus Christ and what He has done in my life and what He continues to do. To me, that’s pretty BIG because He is a game changer, in every sense of that word!! I lived a whole lot of years attending church, but life didn’t change until I FULLY surrendered! And oh, how it changed! I had NO IDEA! I had run from the idea of total surrender all my life. I feared it! What I found was that it was by losing my life, that I found it! ~Matthew 10:39~ So, this blog is dedicated to a deeper kind of living where Christ holds my heart and captivates my days.
